Major events like this aren’t possible without the support and dedication of hundreds of volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the world.
It’s also an opportunity to make your mark working on a major international multi-sport in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games, and beyond.
We’re looking for volunteers with a wide variety of skills and experience to help bring these Games to life for our athletes, their family and friends, and spectators.

What can we achieve together?
We are looking for an army of #GameChangers to work with us on a Games and movement with a vision to see all people included through sport and grow the knowledge of Brisbane’s volunteer network to work with people of all abilities.
As an organisation, our values underpin everything we do and together we ensure our people and athletes come first, that we challenge perceptions and that we create stronger communities.
What roles are available?
Your time, contribution and efforts as a volunteer are invaluable and helps us build a workforce that can deliver an excellent event.

What can we offer you?
You’ll learn new skills, make connections, and most importantly, help deliver an amazing event for elite athletes with intellectual impairment and make a real difference in the world.
All volunteers will receive training, a uniform kit and meals during allocated shifts.
And let’s not forget to mention the fun factor! We want to ensure our volunteers have a great and memorable time at the Games.
You’ll work with a team that wants to inspire you, empower you, and offer you an unforgettable Games experience.
What’s required to be a volunteer?
There are some basic eligibility requirements you must meet in order to be a volunteer. Preference will be given to volunteers who are able to commit to at least five shifts.
Applicants must:
- be available between 5-11 November 2022
- be aged 18 or over at the point of application
- be able to attend a day of training in Brisbane in October 2022 (this session will include picking up your accreditation and uniform)
- have valid and acceptable photo identification documents
Australian citizens: | A valid Australian driver’s licence or a valid Australian passport |
New Zealand citizens: | A valid New Zealand passport or a valid Australian driver’s licence |
All other nationalities | A valid passport |
